Helping women start, grow, and stand on their own
When a woman earns, her whole family benefits. She feeds her children, supports their education, and strengthens her community. But for many women, especially widows and those living in poverty, getting started is the hardest part.
At Eve Foundation, we help women from all backgrounds start their own businesses. We do not just hand over a small grant and walk away. We walk with her through every part of the journey, from ideas and training to finance, supply chains, and peer support.

A woman might choose to start a tea stall, begin duck farming, keep bees for honey, or raise livestock. Whatever she chooses, we provide the tools and guidance to help her do it properly, sustainably, and with confidence.
The Business Options
We do not tell women what to do. We support what they choose.

Tea Stalls and Local Sales
With basic training in sourcing, hygiene, and local marketing, a small roadside tea stall can provide daily income and serve as a meeting point for the community. Many women begin here and expand to offer snacks, eggs, or local produce.

Duck Farming
Ducks are low-cost, low-maintenance, and well-suited to wetland areas. They produce eggs, meat, and fertiliser, and can be raised safely near the home. We provide the first batch, teach proper care, and help plan sales.

Beekeeping for Honey
Bees need space, not land. Women are trained in safe hive management, harvesting, and bottling. Honey has strong local demand and fetches a good price. We also help women form groups to share equipment and scale together.

Cow Husbandry
Cattle offer milk, fertiliser, and future income from calves. We help women prepare, purchase responsibly, and learn how to care for livestock. This includes vet access, feeding schedules, and support with local dairy buyers.

Other Ideas and Local Trades
Some women have skills in stitching, baking, or plant care. We help build on what they already know, and where needed, offer structured vocational training. The goal is not to limit them to one option, but to help them choose the right one.
What Makes It Work
We offer more than a startup fund. Every woman in our programme is supported with:

Clear business training and practical follow-up

Financial literacy, including saving and tracking income

Access to interest-free loans where needed

Help with product pricing, customer relations, and market access

Peer-to-peer support from other women in the programme

Ongoing mentoring and simple reporting to track progress
We help build small local supply chains and networks that grow over time. As one woman succeeds, she is encouraged to help another start. This is how small projects create long-term change.
What Your Donation Supports
A gift of £500 is enough to launch a new business. That covers tools, training, raw materials, and follow-up support. For some families, this becomes their only source of income.
More importantly, it gives a woman control. It gives her choices. It helps her children stay in school, eat properly, and grow up with the security they need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose the type of business my donation supports?
We match each woman with the type of business that suits her location, skills, and goals. You’re welcome to tell us if there’s a type of business you’d like to support, and we’ll do our best to honour that when possible.
Do the women repay the money?
No. Donations are a gift. We do not expect women to repay the amount. Where appropriate, we may offer an interest-free loan alongside a donation, but repayment is never a condition of support.
Can I support more than one woman?
Yes. You can fund as many women as you like. Some supporters fund two or three businesses at once, while others give monthly towards the programme and help us reach more families over time.
How do you follow up with the women you support?
We stay in touch with every woman in the programme. Our team tracks progress, offers practical advice, and helps address any challenges that come up. We also connect women with others nearby so they can support each other.
Can I get updates on the woman I’ve supported?
Yes. If you’ve funded a full business, we will send you a short update once she has started. This may include a photo, a message, or a basic summary of her progress. We keep it simple and respectful.
