A gift that carries its reward forward

Sadaqah is a form of voluntary giving rooted in sincerity. It’s open to everyone, whether you give in ease or hardship, and whether the amount is large or small. It reflects our belief that every act given for the sake of Allah carries value.

"O believers give of what We have provided for you." [Qur’an 2:254]

At Eve Foundation, Sadaqah allows us to respond where Zakat may not apply. We use it to support families in urgent need, cover medical care, distribute food, and respond to emergencies. Because Sadaqah is flexible, it allows us to act quickly when the situation demands it.

There is no set amount. There is no deadline. It is between the giver and their Lord — and the impact, when handled properly, is lasting.

Sadaqah Jariyah

Some forms of Sadaqah continue to benefit others even after we have passed. This is Sadaqah Jariyah — ongoing charity. It remains with us, as long as others continue to benefit from what was given.

The Prophet ﷺ taught that three things continue to benefit a person after their death: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them. For many, Sadaqah Jariyah is one of the most accessible ways to fulfil that.

We build and manage projects designed to carry this ongoing benefit. These include:

Water wells and clean water systems

Homes for widows, orphans, and families in difficulty

masjid

Small masjids and prayer spaces

school

Schools and learning centres

Livelihood tools and long-term training

Support for salaries of teachers, carers, and healthcare staff

We treat every project as an amanah. We confirm the location, verify the need, and follow it through until completion. In most cases, the donor receives a plaque, photos of the work, and confirmation when the project is in use. Where it’s safe, we can also arrange visits to the site.

Giving in Honour of Someone

Many people choose to dedicate their Sadaqah Jariyah in honour of a loved one who has passed away. It is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to continue earning reward on their behalf.

This could be a water source built in their name, a home that offers shelter to others, or a prayer space where people come to worship. Every time someone benefits from it, that reward is written for them.

We will confirm the project selected and share updates with the donor once it’s complete. If you’re unsure where to begin, we can guide you.

How We Use Your Sadaqah

Sadaqah is used where the need is real, but the case may fall outside the limits of Zakat.
This includes:

Emergency food or clean water

Housing repairs or temporary shelter

Urgent medical
treatment

Mobility and transport for the elderly or disabled

Support for individuals not eligible for Zakat

Each request is reviewed, and where appropriate, matched with other sources of support. In some cases, we will combine Sadaqah with general funds to meet the full need.
We work with local partners to deliver this in a way that preserves dignity and avoids waste.

A Legacy That Stays With You

As Muslims, we are taught that death is not the end. What we give sincerely continues to benefit us after we return to our Lord. Sadaqah Jariyah is one of the ways we stay connected — to our parents, to those we’ve lost, and to the people we want to continue helping even after we’re gone.

These are not grand gestures. They are quiet acts that live on. If you’d like to speak to someone about dedicating your Sadaqah or finding the right project, email hello@evefdn.com and a member of the team will get back to you.
