A permanent home for those left behind

When a father passes away, the family left behind often loses more than a loved one. They lose their income, their safety, and sometimes even the roof over their head. The impact is immediate, especially for widows with young children, no stable income, and no one to turn to.

Every home is given as a gift. There are no repayments, no conditions, and no catches. It is a chance to begin again with a stable foundation when it is needed most.

We build proper permanant homes for families who have lost their main provider and are now living in uncertainty. These are not short-term shelters or temporary fixes. Each home is designed to be strong, secure, and lasting. They are built for generations, with enough space for children to grow up safely and for mothers to care for their families with dignity.

you can gift a new permanant brick built home start from £4,200 or donate particaly towards a home.

Why This Matters

Many of the women we support have never worked outside the home. After the loss of a husband, they find themselves raising children alone with little or no income. Even families who owned some land or had a basic livelihood often lose it within a few years.

Without help, many end up in unsafe housing or are forced to move onto the streets and have to resort to begging. The children loose that safety and stability and have to often work in hazadous conditions scuh as brick fields or factories to support the families.

A home changes everything. It gives stability to children and creates a space for them to feel safe. It gives their mother a base from which she can care, plan, and rebuild. And it gives the whole family the dignity of living in a place that is their own.

The Impact of a Home

A permanent home gives the family something they have not had in a long time and thats stability.

For children, this means they can return to school without worrying about where they will sleep. They can rest, they can eat in peace, they have a routine again. It is often the first time in months, or even years, that they are able to feel safe.

For their mother, the impact is just as serious. Without a home, she is vulnerable to exploitation, pressure, and constant uncertainty. With a home, she is protected. She can make decisions for her family without fear of being moved on or told there is no space for them.

She can consider work or training. She can apply for support. She can plan for the future. If she chooses to remarry, she can do so with the confidence that her children are safe and that she is bringing something of her own into that decision.

A home gives her control. And from there, everything else becomes possible.

A Complete Approach

We do not stop at handing over keys. Our homes are the beginning of something bigger. Once a family moves in, we help them get back on their feet.
This may include

Helping the children return to school

Supporting the mother with training or a small business

Providing access to clean water, healthcare, and food

Connecting them to a local support network

Our aim is to lift a family out of hardship in one coordinated step. A secure home makes that possible.

Who We Help

This work focuses on families in extreme difficulty. Most have lost their main breadwinner and are living without stable shelter, income, or support. Some are already homeless while others are in temporary housing, relying on neighbours or extended family.

We prioritise widows and orphans. These are the families most at risk of falling further into poverty without urgent help. A permanent home gives them the stability they need to recover.

How You Can Support

You can donate towards a full home or contribute to part of one. Your donation helps cover materials, labour, and the basic furnishings a family needs to move in and begin again.

You can also give monthly. Regular donations help us save for future homes and respond quickly when a family is identified. When the home is ready, we hand it over. No debt, No delay, Just shelter and safety where it matters most.

If you would like to dedicate a home in honour of a loved one, email hello@evefdn.com and a member of our team will guide you through the process. We will keep you updated and share photos when the family moves in.
